Hello everyone, this week I'll talk about the carnivals.
As a teenager I started get into the carnival world, when I was 14-15 years old, at the beginning as a loyal spectator of them, and from 19 until today, actively participating in this great carnival family, either dancing in a comparsa or another form of participation within this self-management. Even in Santiago, and I would dare to say that in the rest of the country, people do not take the weight or the meaning of what a carnival represents, perhaps because of that, they are not so popular. however, these mean not only organization and self-management, but also allow us to break in and recover public spaces, carry out culture, create that sense of community and empathy between people, share with people without knowing them, and in a very pleasant environment. A carnival is not just a celebration, it has a great background.
